TN Visa – Free Trade Professionals
TN Visa Applications in Windsor, ON
The TN Visa was created by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and its successor agreement the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA) in order to facilitate temporary employment in the United States for approved Canadian and Mexican citizens. The purpose was to strengthen business and trade relations between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The applicants need to be qualified under one of the listed professions and adhere to the requirements of the position throughout the duration of their employment, which can be for a maximum of three (3) years.
Applicants can apply either at the United States port of entry with a US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) officer or through the Untied States Citizenship & Immigration Services processing center. The TN visa is a non-immigrant intent so those seeking to enter must also demonstrate intent to return to their home country in addition to meeting other requirements of the program. Those who wish to ultimately immigrate to the United States long term should speak to one of our legal representatives about a strategy for doing so.
