Express Entry

For temporary workers in Canada, the Express Entry permanent residence program is an online system that allows skilled workers to apply for permanent residence in Canada through three streams:

• Canadian Experience Class- for skilled workers inside Canada with one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the past 3 years
• Federal Skilled Worker Stream- for skilled workers anywhere in the world with one year of skilled work experience anywhere in the world within the past 3 years
• Federal Skilled Trades Program- skilled workers with qualifications and experience in a skilled trade in Canada
• Provincial Nominees nominated by the province they are residing

Express Entry nominates candidates on a monthly basis taking into account the following factors:

• Age
• Skilled work experience in Canada
• Skilled work experience anywhere in the world
• Education
• English language skills
• French language skills
• Immediate family in Canada
• LMIA or LMIA-exempt job offer in Canada
